The COVID-19 pandemic has brought on a lot of tough times for businesses across the world. MSI Pipe Protection Technologies has been a testament to the perseverance of the constant changes of regulations for businesses. Over the course of nearly two years, we have had to adjust to regularly changing guidelines but we never stopped producing our different products including stabbing guides and pipe chocks. Guideline Communications
Since the start of the pandemic, we have received guideline updates from NOV and HSE. These updates typically come every month with any changes to the guidelines. During the different peaks of the pandemic, these updates come more frequently. These updates keep us informed about vaccination and mask requirements, proper sanitation protocols, and public safety requirements.
Our Protocols
Our protocols for 2022 are based on what the NOV and HSE have communicated every month. For employees, masks are required for all unvaccinated people. It is encouraged that when multiple people are together in a crowded space all employees wear a mask. For the vaccinated employees, masks are not required but proof of vaccination is required. Temperature checks are also taken every time someone enters the building. For public safety, we keep all entry doors locked. If someone does need access then an authorized employee will administer a COVID questionnaire as well as a temperature check. If they pass all requirements then they are allowed entry. Hand sanitization stations have been placed all across the building for employees to easily access when needed. Lastly, extra space in the breakroom has been provided so employees can practice social distancing.
For 2021, the demand for crude oil was projected to increase by 96.5 million barrels per day. With this demand only increasing for 2022, we need to make sure our employees are healthy to keep up with this demand. As each month passes by, MSI Pipe Protection Technologies continues to keep up to date with safety protocols and make changes when required. Our goal is to keep employees safe while working and keep the public safe as well.
